Sentinel

Short film

In collaboration with University Centre South Essex

Sentinel is the story of a deceased WW2 soldier of the home guard, whose unsettled spirit still watches over the pillbox he was assigned to, with deadly force. While stationed at the pillbox, the story goes, a German spotter plane dropped a metal dart onto his head, splitting him in two - this can be seen by the hideous scar which goes down the centre of his face.

Behind scenes

Samuel -/ cinematography has always been my passion, screening my projects in large cinemas and festivals is one of my main objectives. My life as an immigrant in England has been hard and uncertain but one day someone told me he would like to support me financially to take a film course at one of England's most prestigious film academies, I did not hesitate to accept with great optimism. Once the course ended, the doors closed and I did not have the opportunity to pursue a long-term film career, but I made the most of my time at the academy. I improved my confidence to expand my knowledge and know the reality in the field of cinematography
